All Weather Rifles, Too Shiny?

The gun store employee has a vivid imagination and probably no experience hunting with anything. I use stainless Brownings and have never had any problem with them. If I did a can or two of flat spray paint would solve it. Remember its a hunting rifle and stainless rusts a lot slower than blue. Frank

I've noticed the shine of glossy rifle stocks of fellow hunters while not ever noticing a stainless barrel in the field.

So long as it doesn't gleam right into the deer's eye, they won't really care. You can paint or finish over it if it helps you feel better.
