I just got a call from a friend with a Sig P230 .32ACP w/ alloy frame. (I think it's alloy because it feels light for a pistol of this size. However, I could be wrong. I've only seen it 3 or 4 times.) She asked if Cor-Bon (or any other high speed ammunition) would damage the frame. I told her to have fun an go ahead and shoot anything she liked and that I doubted ANY .32ACP would hurt her pistol. Realizing that saying that was just a guess on my part, I thought I'd ask if everyone agrees. I mean it's a .32ACP fired from a weapon that is usually chambered for .380ACP. Seems like the little auto would last forever ~right?

Thanks,
KR

Thanks Jar....

Not owning any Sigs yet myself, I hate to portray myself as an expert on the brand. I didn't want to tell her something and find out later that I was wrong. She's a new shooter who likes her P230. I expect she'll get something bigger this winter. The only alloy frames I own are revolvers.

I would think it depends on how much she shoots. I mean shoot enough of anything and it is going to eventually affect the frame. I doubt she will put enough Cor-Bons through it to do any damage.
