You need to read the fine print in these real estate postings:

"...three bedroom, one and a half bathrooms, quaint location, nice views, near schools, comes with two car garage, VCR, meat and naked man."

The house I am currently renting (hope to be a homeowner soon) was placed on the market exactly one month after I moved in--signed a one year lease. A few weeks later, as I am sleeping (used to work nights) I hear the front door being unlocked and opened. The realtors had placed a "lockbox" on my outside storeroom door and were showing the house-without any warning whatsoever! Nearly gave me a heart attack, and needless to say I had a nice discussion with the said realtors about my sleeping requirements. Though I did'nt need it, I'm glad my Kimber was there on the nightstand!

I'm a sometimes real estate investor so I'm used to looking at all sorts of houses and actually expect to run into drug users/squatters...that way I'm not suprised/taken off guard if they are there. (haven't ran into one yet...but have seen evidence of them)

So, asking as real estate investor, did you use this experience to justify a very low offer? I would have been thinking; naked, possibly armed and dangerous fugitive...ought to be good for another 10-15 grand off! (At least!)

:D

Well, apparently the house was taken off the market by the owner at the request of police, pending investigation.

And, according to the wife, you couldnt pay her enough to live there. Bad memories. She has been pretty sheltered most of her life and this is the first time she was touched (almost) by crime of any sort.
