Just wanted to know what the difference is between an Alpine carbine, and a regular M1 carbine, and if they are worth as much as the regular military M1 carbines.
Google is your friend! Alpines are either rewelds or receivers made of soft (non forged) metal. Apparently they came both ways. From what I found, the barrels are sometimes also aftermarket, so it depends what parts are on the rifle. You might have some hard to find trigger group, or a pristene barrel by Winchester, etc....
Basically, as a shooter, you have a $250-$500 gun for the non collector. If you have hard to find parts, the sky could be the limit. But all this is just my opinion
