ALRS .50BMG ar15 Conversion Upper

i Have thought of getting a fifty for a while
pretty much looked at all the stuf listed on the net
im a black rifle guy have built several dozen
in almost all the conigurations and calibers
including a couple ar10's in 308 and 6.5-08
so a conversion is attractive to me
i have almost setteled on the ALRS
anyone have one or experience with them
i would like to hear from
im gathering up brass etc
and will work on dies - press etc in the
year wait it will take to get the upper
any help will be appreciated

If you plan on getting a ALS upper you better get on the waiting list now as it's about 18-24 months long.

There are other uppers out there like the Ferret50, BOHICA/FAR 50, Ultralite 50, Ultramag 50 and one from Watson's Weapons.

That's okay, I'm a white rifle guy. I think that most people on THR and color blind. Sure we have our share of GLOCK supremecists, but GLOCKS are the superior race. Now go sit in the back of the range and don't let me catch you at the GLOCKS ONLY lane ever again!

I called ALS to order an upper and was told 18-24 months as well.
The guy didn't waste any time on politeness either.

Nice gun or not..... The wait is too long and the attitude too much for me.

Chris at BOHICA has been wonderful about answering questions. The wait time is about 3 months right now. I have not seen the upper in person, but it's been getting good reviews.

just got my Ultralite50 in 24" fluted, very nice upper, and you may be able to get the knob creek deal, they are closed due to water but he might be able to ship it. quality is excellent.
