alternative shotgun ammo

Can anyone provide me with a list of exotic or alternative SHOTGUN ammo that is availlable to the public that could be used for different applications ?
Anything worth while or is this stuff just a gimic?...anything out there just fun to shoot for a goof?

I have had a one oz load of talc dropped in my shell bag, only to POOF a huge white cloud when I tried to shoot a target. Of course the guy scoring screams LOSS!!! at the top of his lungs LOL. The dirty bird that hooked me up carries several of those in different hulls so he has a match for who ever he wants to mess with.

The preloaded incindieries, bird bombs and stuff like that scare me. If I had an old junker mossie 500 or something I might try them.

There were some loads on the market for a while that acted like tracers for 12 ga, they did not burn they just left a trail of some sort. I saw a guy shoot those and they were neat. BIG help to a new shooter but I have not seen them for sale anywhere in years.

One of the places I shoot sporting clays at has a couple old boxes of the shotgun "tracers" for sale behind the counter. Next time I'm up there (probably this weekend), I may have to get them.

Sonny, email me and I'll forward you several links that sell this stuff including a maker of flechette rounds. Never tried this stuff myself.

I'm really leary of putting exotic stuff through a shotgun I like, and I like all the ones here.

Back on TFL, one poster mentioned hearsay about a flare being shot through a full choke barrel, lodging in the choke area and turning the barrel cherry red.

I strongly recommend skipping the weird stuff....

Sorry to disappoint you, Hombre. Unless you're living in a cave, the Dragon's whatever is not a good idea. And not in dry areas also.
