Am I the only one excited about this? (Probably)

First saw this posted to the Walther Facebook page. Ironically the very same morning I was way too close to trading a rifle/scope for a beat up SW99 in 45. Hopefully they will make a 45 PPQ with the M1 paddle release. I would prefer they bring back the AS trigger as well, but that is probably too far in the grave.
I,too, am up for this model--hope it is a 5" target model--WE LOVE all of our Walthers-- have PPqs in 9mm 4" and 5"--the 5" is a better plate shooter--of course--can't wait for the release

I have to disagree with this. Walther has whored their own name out allowing Umarex to use it and they have profited from it. I am not confused at all. I know Umarex made it as stated above. The fact that Walther STILL allows their name to be stamped on the side of the junky piece of said pot-metal and then does nothing to offer support for it disallows me from ever doing business with them again just on principle.
basically how i feel about walther as well^

Don't forget the PPX is a ULM made gun as well, outstanding gun for $350, although not the best looking.

The new P22's also have ULM on the frame now, should be much higher quality.

The PPX is probably the only Walther I never want to own. Very Hi Point looking compared to the P99 and PPQ by comparison. I respect the market that Walther brought to their company by offering an Ulm produced low budget Walther, but the higher end models already brought me in. And I wouldn't get a PPX, even as a truck gun.

Now it is just finding one. With all the Umarex produced P22s bought and sold over the years, it is a firearm needle in a haystack. Did they get rid of the keyhole on the right side of the Walther P22 as well?

Well I really like my PPX, bought 2 of them. They shoot great and are 100% reliable. I've already gotten beyond the looks. $335 out the door for the 40 S&W.

Might have been very interested years ago before I got my Glock 21, now its about impossible (for me) to find another full size .45 that's interesting (non 1911, naturally).

Can't wait to get my hands on one. I've been bitten really hard by the .45 bug, and have been searching for an SW99 in .45 so I can have a .45 ACP Walther.

I guess I can wait a bit longer for the real deal :)

Walther has whored nothing out. Umarex OWNS Walther (and has for over 20 years now), so Walther (in particular the real Walther manufacturing operation in Ulm, Germany) has no say in how their name is used.

Not unlike when Ford owned Jaguar in the early 200s and slapped Jaguar badges and revised sheetmetal all over the Ford Mondeo/Contour to make the "Jaguar" X-type.

Now Colt, S&W, HK, and others can be said to have whored their names to Umarex, since allow Umarex to manufacture lower-quality rimfires and market them under their names.

Very interested. I have a PPQ M1 and an HK45C so I would really like a paddle magazine release, but am still interested.

not sure why guys are bashing walther. I love mine( 3 models) and have had the best customer service experiences with t hem. No one has done better. Wilson Combat,Dan wesson and Nighthawk are close though
