On the FEG build: AMD 65 AK - kind with BIG muzzle brake, etc.. NOT CAI build

What are these really? SA 2000 but with an AMD barrel???

Are the problems (mag well too wide, loose muzzle brake) worked out?

Thanks...

????? you may want to add a little to your question because I don't really know what you are asking. Perhaps no acronyms?

They are AMD-65 parts kits built on FEG receivers. They generally use a 2" muzzle extension and original muzzle brake. Being AMD-65's they have a shortened gas system.

I have a TGI AMD-65 with an FEG receiver, and they are parts kits, with in my case a longer muzzle brake that mimics the original.

I do not remember reading about any problems with them. I have tried many different magazines with mine and have had no problems at all. This guns has always functioned 100% with any ammo, and has been just as accurate as other ak's even with the 12.5" chrome lined barrel.
The only problems I have had with mine is the muzzle brake weld breaking. I re welded it and refinished that area and it has been good since.

The muzzle brake weld was one of the issues.

I suppose if you want to run real AK mags (combloc) you need to replace the follower and floor plate?
