Are you sure you’re not thinking of 255 grain .45 Colt? Some people call this 45 Long Colt. It’s a different cartridge from 45 ACP, which usually tops out at 230 grain bullets.

I have not. I know of 255 gr. .45 Colt. I know Buffalo Bore makes a 255 gr. load.

I got my Taurus TH 45 back from Taurus repair (THIRD TIME!) stating the had test fired my gun with 52 rounds of American Eagle .45 ACP 255 grain bullet????

I'd bet a dollar to donuts that someone had a brain-fart and meant 230 gr. Maybe they just got done testing a Judge with 255gr 45LC rounds and had that on their mind.

I know of no factory 255 grain 45ACP

Boutique ammo makers like Underwood, Buffalo Bore & Double Tap load 255 gr hardcast +P .45 ACP loads.

Never seen nor heard of Federal’s American Eagle line offering that bullet option, only plain Jane 230 gr fmj practice ammo.

I think someone mistook the round fired on your paperwork as well.

Hopefully, the third time is the charm and it never goes back again.
