I love gun shows, but man did Regan Smith get ripped off by Rick Wyatt on the latest episode of American Guns?

7 firearms for $25K??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was able to identify 3 of the firearms:

Mossberg 464 in stainless - ~$500
Mossberg 590 Special Purpose shotgun - ~$500
Volquartsen 22 - $1800

The 375H&H I could not make out the brand, but a friend of mine bought a CZ 375 H&H rifle for $1100.

The revolver looked to be a blued S&W .357 Magnum.

The sniper rifle appeared to be a Remington 700 in .308.

I was not able to identify the optics on each rifle, but it looked like only 3 of them had optics.

Let's say each optic was worth $2000. This is still nowhere near $25K for all of the firearms.

Isn't that the truth! Even my wife, who seldom watches that show, commented that $27K was way overboard.

The only pricing that seemed to be reasonable was the CZ/RIA/Trapdoor Springfield deal that he worked out earlier in the episode.

Might have been the worst episode of the show ever in the sense of showing 'the deal' especially when at one point it was FOUR guns for $22k and the 375 wasn't part of the deal.

I'm all for a dealer making a buck but the mark up for helicopter delivery is a tad steep to be remotely ethical.

I honestly despise that show. Ricks voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. The whole show is just way over the top that I don't believe a word that comes out of anyone's mouth.

To me it is just entertainment. What seems weird to me is when he lets the customer shoot their gun for the first time, he always yanks out of their as soon as they shoot. As if they are going to start running down the highway with it or drop it. I would like to have his son engrave a pistol for me. I think he does amazing work. Really talented young man

It is all scripted, and for intertainment only. Including the ever present drama in these shows.

The last time I watched the auction hunters they took their modern made punt gun to someone . The negotiation brought that to $5,000 for a modern muzzle loader ! Then the buyer just happens to have a $5,000 wad of cash in his pocket to hand over.

Reality is not a burdon for the folks in Hollywood . Show after show use the same formula .

Hey did anyone else notice on the trade that nbkky71 speaks of, with the CZ/RIA + Cash trade for the Springfield Trapdoor, That when the customer pulled out his concealed carry pistol from his holster, that HE HANDED IT TO RICK LOADED!!!?!?!?! It briefly showed Rick ejecting the mag, clearly visible as loaded, but did not show him checking the chamber and removing the round that I would assume to be residing there!

I don't care for this show nearly as much as some others (including sons of guns) but I do watch it on occation if nothing else firearm related can be found. I don't know who I would be more afraid of, the customer for handing it loaded, or Rick for accepting it without making the customer clear it, and for not apparently clearing it completely himself right away (though this may have been cut out during editing)!

Also more on topic of the OP, yea $27k even $25k was CRAZY. I guess that's supposed to make for 'good tv'.

You don't seriously think that "transaction" was real, do you?
And you don't seriously think that helicopter is his, do you?

Okie dokie. This one has run its course. There is really nothing more to be gained from cracking on the Wyatts or the show or their theme song.
