does anyone know if this is a reliable gun to buy ? American Tactical Nomad Turkey Single Shot Shotgun, .410 Gauge

The nomad looks a lot like the Hunt group single shot I got from gun brokers. It's Turkish made and seems to be your standard cheap 12 guage. The 410 looks the same. I got mine for 40 bucks plus shipping so I'm not expecting a lot.

If you want a solid well built single barrel shotgun, then get one of the Midland. Went turkey hunting last week and a hunting buddy brought one with him and it really is a nicely built gun. I came home and ordered on in 12ga 18" and the Turkey model with a rail for scope. I paid double that price for a Henry single shot, which I love, but almost wish I had seen these first. they are all able to accept Beretta chokes. Both come with modified chokes.Weigh about 5lbs

When Midland started selling their single shot shotgun (which is made by Kahn in Turkey) they also announced plans to soon sell rifle and pistol caliber barrels. It has been two years and no news about other calibers.

You can buy a 8" rifled inserts in different calibers like other single shots. My friend says he has one in 22. mag and 45. acp. According to him they are very accurate. I am going to try a few out, not sure what caliber yet. Also will get a 20ga adapter as well.

That is what I had planned for mine. I found an 11 inch adapter from chaszel. well made and not so expensive you should check them out if nothing else for the extra length. 8 vs 11

So if you put a 8 inch rifled insert into a 26 inch shotgun barrel for example that means the bullet will then travel another 18 inches inside the shotgun barrel. Is there any concern that the bullet could scrape the inside of the shotgun barrel before exiting the muzzle if there was any movement of the gun?
