Ammo and AR Heaven!

The local Academy got in a massive shipment today! At least fifty 1,000-round boxes of 5.56 from Federal, a pallet of .308, and a huge variety of dozens of boxes of 9mm, .357, .40, and .45ACP in JHP and FMJ. There were also buckets of .22LR. At the gun counter they had stacks of AR boxes from Sig, S&W, Windham, and Colt. They even had a new gun that was a pony that shot rainbows out of its butt.

In fact they are all at overstocked prices of a penny a round.

Huh. My store didn't get any ammo but they got a pallet nearly full of small pistol primers and they weren't even limiting the quantity you could purchase so I snagged a hundred.

The Academy winner is giving away steamed kraut dogs (heavy on the mustard!) and bricks of .22 around these parts just to show how much they appreciate their customers. actually, I've never even seen an "Academy" store in my life. I call radishes

The OP is not that far off with what was on the shelf this morning at my local Academy. Its the most ammo I've seen in awhile. Granted 22lr and 223 was absent but pistol caliber ammo was available in quanity. I picked up a 1,000 round bulk box of 9mm. Five hundred round boxes of 45acp were also available. Lots of ammo today. Dare I say things are getting better. There were about 30 people in line today and all but 4 were new members of the 7AM Club. Thats the name we've given ourselves.

So you got it all. We had nothing today...until I stopped by at noon and they had boxes of 5.56, 9mm, .40, .357, and .45. Not as much as y'all in El Paso though.
