In the last few weeks, I've noticed a lot more ammo available. ALL the mom and pop gun shops pretty much have every caliber available. Maybe not a lot of each, but the supply is somewhat steady. I was in walmart today, and there was 25acp, 32acp, 380acp, 9mm, 38spl, 357mag, 40, 44mag, 45acp, most all rifle, and 22LR. Today, I bout a couple boxes (550 rounds) Federal 36 grain, copper hollow points, for $15.xx a box. The 45acp was in the $25+/- a box of 50 or $37+/- for the 100 round value pack. Can't remember prices. But the point is, there was a lot more ammo than I've seen in a while. Mind you, I haven't been to walmart in almost 2 weeks, but it's looking better.

I'm thinking people are feeling like they've got all the ammo they can use for the zombie invasion.

I am able to find most ammo at my gun range including .380. I wonder why Midway has very little. My range prices are fair. I got a case of 1000 Magtech 9MM for $260. Also I am seeing primers at the range and a small shop not far from me. Again, Midway does not. Byron

Yep, my local gun shops seem to have everything, including .380. Glad the mad rush is over.

Most scarce around Central Ohio has been .22 rf, but today I scored plenty of the Winchester "333" 36 gr. plated HP for $11/333 rounds. Seems like every store has something still missing though, sometimes 9mm, sometimes .40 S&W. Lots of shotshells and slugs on the shelf, some even on sale.

The rush is definitely starting to die down. A local range has two walls full of EBR's and AK's. Their prices are still unreasonable though.

Not at my WW all they had was 2 boxes of.25acp and 2 boxes of.40S&W

I had been able to buy .45acp there in the last couple months but none last Friday; I go twice a month when I go to town.

I too have noticed that it's better, but still definitely not even close to normal pre-Obama levels. Last week when I was at Walmart their handgun ammo amounted to 100 rounds of .357 Mag & 50 rounds of .38. This failed to impress me. At Cabela's a week ago they had a bunch of both Remington & Fiocchi 130gr FMJ .38 for $18.99 a box; not a great price, but I remember a few months ago when they had no .38s at all. .357 Mag is still MIA, but rumored to still be alive.

At some point all those who are hoarding ammo have to either run out of room and/or money. Or their wife may provide an ultimatum along the lines of "Bring another box of ammo into this house and you can sleep with it on the sofa!"

just checked my walmart the other day. they had something in most major auto calibers, but not much. nothing in .38spl, .357mag, or .380acp. but having even 9mm, .45acp, and .40s&w is an improvement, i suppose. too bad i only shoot one of those currently (.45).

The last couple times I went to Wal Mart I bought eight 22LR bulk packs. They seem to be getting in 22LR now.
I don't buy other factory ammo but I usually check to see what they have. Still pistol ammo is in very short supply.

Another local store is getting most everything.

I've been seeing more at the local gunstores. Walmart here still remains mostly out of popular calibers. I saw my first box of .45 acp in many months at Walmart the other day. They had one box (50) of WWB hollow points for $31. I passed.

I did just order 750 rounds of Federal FMJ .45 acp today. So, it is out there, even if not every type for every caliber.

My Wal/Mart had Federal value packs of .223 yesterday so I got 6. It felt good to buy something.
Still no 9mm., .45, and certainly no .380.
They do have .40 because it's not as popular here I assume.

As I posted elsewhere, I just got back from WalMart, and bought the last 2 100ct. boxes of 9mm. They had no .380, .45, and 2 boxes left of HP in .40. I buy a box or 2 every time I go grocery shopping at WalMart, but usually can't find anything. They have signs now "limiting" customers to 6 boxes per person. I honestly don't think they even get 6 boxes in of what people actually need. Lord knows they have massive stock of 12 gauge and 20 gauge shells.

I spent $50.00 tonight on .45acp at WW for 100 rounds. $28.00 for WWB JHP and $16.00 for Federal FMJ. They had 3 more boxes of each on the shelf but I ran out of cash.:)
