Ammo Obsession?

Meatcreeper, it's called 'transference.' You see...

...your firearms-addictive personality has simply moved you from one obsession to another. Ammo is a "gateway" to guns and shooting itself. Now you THINK you are having a good time shooting an AR. That it is somehow "fun." "Cool." Sure, in the moment. But what happens when you come down. It all falls apart Meat! You're out of control. Repeat after me:

"Hi. My name is Meatcreeper. And I'm a safe shooting sports enthusiast."

11 steps to go buddy. We got your back!

I used to be at WM at 6:45 or so to wait in line and see what showed up. One time I got 1000 22 lr's, but mostly 45 acp. I have some brass now for all my pistols, so time to get the press running again!

Hi. My name is Meatcreeper. And I'm a safe shootings sports enthusiast. I will also creep up on a piece of meat, meat grilling enthusiast too!

I used to only have maybe half a box or less of practice ammo in my house, and when I took a trip to the range I'd buy a few boxes for shooting that day. Well that changed last year. There have been more than a few times this year that I have postponed a trip to the range because I didn't want to pay $35.00 for a box of 115gr FMJ practice ammo - stuff I used to get for 12 bucks a box.

Never again.

I'm going to have enough ammo to get through the next ammo crisis. I'm not going to just keep half a box of practice ammo on hand.

At least twice a week now I make calls to all the different WalMarts, and some other stores - like a call out to Farm & Fleet, and if they have .22LR or 9mm, I get in my car and drive out there to get 3 boxes. I picked up 3 boxes last week and I've picked up 3 boxes so far this week, and I plan to keep buying ammo.

CountZero, at some point you might want to consider reloading...

Really, is there a point where we gun owners need to slow down on buying ammo??

If you think about it, if we all continue the buying splurge, the ammo shortage will never end.
