Well, a mini report, anyway....

At a 4" distance, muzzle to wood, the Aguilas penetrated at least 1/16" further. So, close up, the 30gr. Aguilas did more damage than the 40gr. Velocitors. The solid point Aguilas deformed (spread) to 95% as much as the hollowpoint Velocitors. In flesh, I think there'd be way less deformation for the Aguilas. I would suspect that the Velocitors will be better further out, being 33% heavier. You know, inertia and all. I think I've finally found my .22 SD ammo.

BTW: I shot into a new, uniformly grained 2X4. It was a little denser & drier than average.

Thanks for the info, wt. I tried to get the scoop on these rounds out of a short barrel a while but came up with very little. I think I read (on NAA's site) that Remington Yellow Jackets have among the highest velocities out of their super-short revolver barrels. Perhaps they use a faster powder than CCI Stingers and Aguila's equivalent (Maximum, was it?).
