I dont need ammo as 15 presses will load all I will ever shoot.Thats the answer to shortages and the other answer is to conserve ammo shoot to make the best score you can.when you can put them all in same hole at 50 ft your on your way.[pistols]100 yds with rifles.blowing of 500 rds in day is just showing off and not learning to shoot.

Same here I 'm waiting on bullets i ordered 4 months ago. Also what good is 15 presses if you don't have 15 people running them?

Finally, one of the local gun shops got in some large pistol primers. $33.00 a brick. He had two. I said I'd take em' both and was told "only one box per customer". I can understand that. I waited several months so I can live with another reloader getting his share too. Maybe it's letting up?

Interesting sticker on WalMart box of ammo

My local Walmart sporting goods clerk tells me that as soon as ammo comes in, it is sold out immediately. Luckily, I was able to buy a box of 9mm and saw new stickers on the box that said something like "if this prodict is found for sale at a location other than Walmart, call 1-800 etc etc". Makes me think that WalMart management feels that the guys who seem to be buying all the ammo are turning around and re-selling for a tidy profit. Not saying this is good or bad, just interesting.

Move on this guys if you want .32 acp or .38spcl. You'll need to mail or fax them proof of your I.D. and what depending on your state. Got an email from then two hours ago they got ammo in with also .380 and it got bought out. Looks like supply is meeting demand. It is Pri Partizan though. If I hadn't got two 100rd boxes of .38 +P this month from Wal-Mart I'd pick some up.

well.. there are a lot of people doing just that.. in fact I know of a couple of people that get their spouses, who work at Wal-mart, to buy everything they can with their discount then turn around and sell it for double the price to the guys they know at work. I have no problem with someone turning a profit, but they are hurting small businesses in the name of greed. If they want to purchase a business license to do such a thing I have no argument.

Why would they care, they made the sale, and got the profit (that is what they are about right??). Go ahead and post the number. I might call it.

I guess they could be concerned that the ammo was redirected to another seller before it got into their distribution system, but then they would not have been charged for it.

My cousin told me his friend went into a shop when they had just gotten in some .45 ammo and bought all of it, and that kid doesn't even have a job.

Wal-Mart Gettysburg Pa has 8-10 boxes 40S&W and 550 pks 22 rf Federal WOW! The nice part was the guy buying it all up and the box he had to get to carry it out.

In Eastern Iowa

the Wal-Mart today at Iowa City had several Federal LR bulk packs, 550, for under $15. There is quite a bit of .22 LR around at Scheels and other places. I am starting to go out late at night (I am retired so can sleep in) around midnight to our two Wal-Marts to try and score WWB of 100 9mm. If they have it is just under $20 plus tax....$21 OTD. I see .38 spec, 357, some 40 SW in boxes of 50 for under $13, etc. I am also buying some CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR and a rough equivalent in Win Xpert....both of these are in plastic boxes of 100 for 6.99 plus tax here in Iowa City area...I got some at Scheels, some at Wal_Mart, and some at a non-chain outfitter. My report for the day..

Local gunshop has .380 but prices are a bit higher although not as bad as they could be. $35/50 target type stuff Fiochi etc.. Most other calibers flush. The idiocy is subsiding and most local stores are overstocked on guns.

That's one of the reasons I'm shooting a S&W M410 .40 most often at the range these days. ...And I'm getting decent with it and starting to really like it.
