I've said this before on other threads, but I visited my local gun dealer a couple of weeks ago and he said things are getting a "little" better.

Then I looked at his shelves and things had gotten a LOT better. I picked up a box of 50 Fiocchi 9mm 124 grain JHP for $21 and he had a lot more. He even had two boxes of 10mm, but he said they'd be gone quick.

He think he had .45 ACP, but not much. For most things though, he had a real good supply.

Thanks for the links, thats a good start.

"start"? scottaschultz just linked most of the big ammo dealers in the USA, you really think you need more?

The 158 gr. SWC is the same round I have been looking for, too...I have it on backorder from Midway. Right now, my SD round of choice in 38 spl. is the 110 gr. Hydra-Shok. It feels pretty light against the +P round, but it will get the job done against the BG with no worries.

Georgia Arms has 9mm canned heat (500/1,000 rd. cans) back in stock. Their website states that they're catching up on the order backlog and 9mm can be shipped within 2 weeks.

when I order my ammo they usually say two weeks, then send another email close to then saying 2 weeks and so on for a couple months. Either way, I'm getting mine.

At a Walmart here in Northern California, forget about it for the near future. The other day, an employee said that a 20 round box of .40 caliber ammo was $21. She said it with straight face. I was so shocked that my brain was unable to remember the brand, but I can remember the ammo was nothing special. I also noticed that the ammo shelves were basically empty. I don't think Walmart is even trying around here.

Talked to the manager of our local Wallymart sporting goods dept, she said they have over 200 CASES of .22 LR backordered just for customers that have ordered it in and they wont take any more orders.

I saw a bunch (excess of 3000) 38 spec SWC last week at the gun show. If I had known everyone needed it I could have gotten ya both some. Varried in price too. One guy sellin his own load for $8.88/50 and another guy sellin WWB for $21/50. Yeah it was a big swing depending on what you want. Alot of S&B, Fiocchi, and other imports too.

I can find sporadic 9mm etc but it's the buck a bullet type. Order on line. You can find cheap wolf 115 grain for like 200 pr 1000 rnds etc.

If you want to do reloads, good luck finding primers and powder!

I am in Burnsville and we do have several businesses that do seem ,right now to have enough ammo both practice and defence on hand . Rideing around a have stopped in some area gun shops and most have a desent selection of ammo. And yes Asheville still sucks for ammo along with all wally worlds in this end of the state. Some ass went into a new wally world a couple weeks ago a bought ALL 30,000 + rounds of highly wanted pistol ammo. He also hit several others.

Lots of ammo in Iowa City, Iowa area

Now I am seeing at one store 250 rd bulk packs of Rem UMC 9mm for $60 a pop..which means $12 for 50 rds. Not much higher than Wal-Mart although Wal-Mart in Omaha area has Fed 9mm 50 rd boxes for $8.97. Anyway, loads and loads of any ammo you could want around here right now. And one store had lots of large pistol primers two days ago, Magnum and otherwise, $30 a brick.

Yeah the LGS's here and Wallyworld have BUPKUS in stock... I was thinking of putting in an order to Georgia Arms, but reading the above post of a 4 month wait is not so encouraging LOL!

just got back from dicks sporting goods, they had blazer .380 in stock.. employee said it came in yesterday. 3 box limit.. there was about 10-15 boxes left @ 18.99/box.. non reloadable.. but their ammo case was full of everything.

More Idiot BS on Ammo Bans

Was in a store today. They had cases of ammo stacked in the middle of the floor. One short round guy was telling a tall skinny guy that "you had better buy ammo now if you want to shoot it. I heard they are trying to pass a law where all ammo will have to contain a chemical that after 6 months, degrades, making the ammo not fire." I waited around to see if the two split up. I was going to tell the tall skinny guy that if he believed that load of BS, I have some ocean-front property in Kansas I'll sell him real cheap. I should have gone downstairs and picked up a pair of hip waters, because that BS was DEEP!

Who are "they"?
