Ammo storage cabinet

I keep my ammo and some handguns in a lockable tool chest of drawers, and it has worked well for me. I want to say I spent 2-300 on it from Lowes, and it is heavy duty. Now that it's loaded up, good luck moving it out of my basement. I can't even lift a side to slide anything under it.

With the price ammo is these days, 2-300 dollars of investment for a lockable cabinet/tool chest is a worth while investment. How many rounds of 45 Colt can you get for 200 bucks?

Regarding your cabinet, buy a second and share the load and have a bit more storage space.

I don't really have space for another cabinet, but if I did it wouldn't be near this one.

However I have my little project done. I cut up a large 3/4" sheet of plywood into replacement shelves and bought L braces to augment the peg holders. If it looks stressed, I can add some more to bolster up the middle to the back of the cabinet.

I have more ammo to store but wanted to see how the boards did with what was already in there. I have several more 500 round boxes of 7.62x39 to add.
