Just a note that NFA is alive and well in NE Ohio, where we trashed an otherwise quiet afternoon with about 400 rounds out of my brother's WWII Bridgeport 1928A1. Several full drums were fired non-stop, and a couple 20 rounders the same. The 30's seemed to lend themselves to bursts and aiming. I live in a rural neighborhood that used to be more rural than it is now, with neighbors on either side, and off to my SW, but firing NW off the corner of my lot has a good backstop, and a half mile of open field and woods beyond. The neighbors are used to regular gunfire, but full auto is just an occasional "treat" to their ears. No sheriff's deputies apparently were called, so we went unmolested. Whenever I hear full auto in the hands of law abiding, gun loving people, well, it sounds like the bells of freedom to me! Most of my usual "NFA" gunfire goes unnoticed, as I am more into suppressors.
