Hi,
I live in connecticut, and we still have AWB here (although we could take high cap mag) now. I am trying to buying some rifle (in this case a MSAR STG-556) from a free state. The only problem is the Flash Hider. The seller said that their store is willing to remove the FH and install a Muzzle Brake permatnly pinned to the barrel. This seems to comply with my state regularations. However, when I contact my local gun store to do the transfer. They said even after having the muzzle brake, this rifle is still illegal in CT since it was manufactured with a Flah-Hider on, so that defines it is illegal in my state, and later modification doesn't change this status.
I got really confused. I don't understand why he says so. For a law-abiding citizen, it now becomes more and more difficult for us. We have to comply with the law, however, it seems they could explain the law arbitrialy as they wish. This statement sounds almost like: If one is born as a slave, he\she will always be a slave!
Is this really true? or just the bull**** the store owner makes in order to sell his own things at a high price? Has anyone gone through this before? Your experince is much appreciated!
