Bought a third Fox SxS today. I found a 16 gauge Fox B to go with the 12 and 20 gauge guns I already have. The date code indicates a 1962 manufacture. The shotgun has the expected dings and bumps on the stock, but the finish is intact; the stock actually has a nice tiger stripe in it that moves when the light hits it. Metalwork is okay; no barrel pitting and the bores are shiny, but the finish is browning some toward the breech end. Receiver has some pitting but you can still see the case hardening color.

I haven't shot it yet, and probably won't shoot it much. my 12 gauge has 30" barrels, this 16 has 28's and my 20 has 26's. Here's the 16 (top) and 20 together:

I like SXS shotguns as well.

Here are the ones I have. From left to right:

Bernardelli 20g
Ugartechea 20ga.

Both have straight grips and double triggers which I prefer.

You guys' guns are from Beverly Hills; mine are from more like the Ozark hills :D (apologies to those from Arkansas).

But....just gotta love those doubles. I prefer the double trigger models, too.

Those are all affordable as is mine - I really like my S&W Elite in 20, even if it is Turkish and is now called the Dickinson sold in Cabela's.... ;)

Very nice. I'm currently trying to find a 12ga Fox B, myself. Gonna use it for late season sq. over my ol' yeller cur.

I love S&S's too! I hit well with them and they "feel" just right! Here's my two fav's...

My Remington 1900, made in 1905, (12ga.)

And of course, my Krieghoff, proofed in 1935, (16ga.)

Mines a A.H.Fox Sterlingworth 12 ga dated 1913 belonged to my grandfather, only part that's been replaced is the recoil pad, the original just got super hard and started to crumble.
Might try it at trap one of these days.

Check Armslist and Gun Broker. I saw at least a half dozen Fox B and BSE 12 gauge guns while I was looking for the 16 gauge. I got lucky with the 16; found it on Gun Broker, with about 6 hours left and no bids, and the seller was less than an hour from me. I called them up, went and picked it up the next day.
