They are not doing damage, they just aren't changing anybody's mind! They are just giving an occasion for you and I to clap.

Who the hell outside of our community takes advice or commentary from Ann Coulture or Ted Nugent? Please tell me. Please enlighten me how these marginal characters advance our cause.

I guess Wayne Lapierre and the other "big wigs" at the NRA are not on their job. We should all e-mail them immediately and let them know that Ann Coulture and Ted Nugent are on our side. How could we have missed this?

"Have you read your daily dose from the Brady Campaign? Within hours of blood being spilled those vultures were already beating the drum for more "sensible gun laws". I'd call that "opportunistic"."

And they lost no time in cranking out a bunch of emails screaming for donations. I'm on their email list. They address me as "Dear NJ Brady Campaign Member". HA!

I guess I'm one of the "thousands of on-line supporters" they claim to have. :barf:

Now, I am not a fan of AnnCoulter, but I can't find much to disagree with in what she said this time. Actually, this piece was the sanest thing I've heard from her in a while.

I agree that she/they are not doing damage. But you don't know that she's not changing anybody's mind. There has been a pretty significant shift towards gun rights and the message got to people somehow. I must say that I haven't really seen the NRA spreading the message on a day-in day-out basis compared to people like Coulter, Beck, and others. When the antis "pawns" are spouting off BS rhetoric, we have these people to neutralize it...they are our pawns in the media who are setting things straight. And even if all she/they are is a rallying point, as you suggest, where's the harm? So even if you're right and she doesn't change any minds, she's getting our troops stirred up to become more vocal, and THEY are the ones possible changing the minds by speaking up. She's still an assett.

If the byline on this article read Chris W. Cox, would it change the mind of any anti-gun person? I posted the article because I thought it was relevent to the recent tragedies, and a good perspective of the situation. I wish I wrote it myself, but I doubt anybody would have responded. Sure the piece would carry more weight if it was written by Ted Kennedy, but that's won't happen. Some of you people need to calm down a little.:uhoh:

You Ann Coulter basher's are missing her primary point - which is that it is the pathetic life choices and actions of the deranged shooters - and not the gun - which was the root cause of these tragedies. She is raising a very valid and legitimate point which will not be discussed by the Brady Bunchers, who will limit their discussions to the "gun caused the crime" mantra.

You may not like Ann Coulter, but her message is valid - and like it or not, both intelligent and funny.

And besides, her Barney Frank comment is laugh out loud funny and worth the price of admission by itself. :D

The article is spot on, and couldn't have been said better by any other politico.
Ann continues to earn her merit IMO.

Quite transparent and wrong. He has transformed the office of Commander in Chief to a pop culture sensation. The "public sense of involvement" that you are gushing over is just pop idol worship.

And now you show your ignorance. You agree with what she says, but you think someone less marginal should be saying it? Please. Then you hide behind a paltry argument that changing minds should be a the litmus test for effectiveness. You have no way to prove whether she has/can/does change minds or not. Your claims are baseless.

Good grief, I cannot get over the number of posts on this forum from people wanting to give Obama a pass until he bans something. This despite the extreme leftists who are running Congress and the Whitehouse openly stating their agenda for the near future. Then Ann Coulter tells the truth but she is a "radical" and should not be listened to. If Ann sounds the alarm more power to her. Gun owners who are collaborating with the other side are not helping anyone.

Ann Coulter is an idiot who, to her credit (idiots aren't always wrong you know) support RKBA. She is also on record of suggesting we make Jews convert to Christianity...with friends like that...

On the other hand, I'll have to say, this piece was probably the most sensible thing I've seen that she's written and I would have to say that she makes many good points. People just don't seem to get the idea that these psycho nut-jobs are breaking the law already...the only one of these creeps that seems to have had a formally legal right to possess a firearm was the Binghamton guy and it is pretty clear that he was dangerous.

Anyway...Ann Coulter (and Tammy Bruce, and Rush) are all idiotic entertainers who support RKBA...so good for them on that point.

Now Ted Nugent (entertainer that he may be) is a different sort. He's really one of us and he is just over the top as he is with everything...He's the real deal. I too think he probably hasn't "converted" very many hard-core antis but he is good for the cause because he lives a good life and is not a hipocrite like Coulter, Bruce, and yes Rush (pill popping addict that he is).

I'd say that many people's 'minds' have already been changed.
Just [email protected]@K at the unprecedented purchase of firearms
and ammo over the last few months.

The anti's must be pissing their panties. lol

I don't agree with everything any of the talking heads or politicians say either.
My it be Rush or Gore, Ted or Barney, Beck or Moore, any of them.
But to dismiss any of them, by labeling them left or right, is ignorance at it's finest.

In this instance, Ann did good.

I've never watched her show, does she have a show?
But I've seen her on the 'circuit' promoting her books.

Some political entertainer writes a satirical piece in support of gun rights, and suddenly SHE's the enemy?
Seems like a lot of pseudo-gunnies have been invading the boards of late....makes ya wonder.

So at least 2 out of 5 were already banned from having guns. Was the addict ever convicted?

Hey, it would put an end to the mass shootings, and in a college wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea.

He's said he wants to ban AWBs. Are you calling him a liar?

Although only a third of conservatives want more gun laws, that's still too many. Coulter can put a stop to that.

once again... she hits the nail on the head....

I'm all done catering to the liberals feelings and sensitivities.

Their stupid and their stupid policies have shipwrecked this nation and will strip up all of our rights.

I don't believe this for a second. obama is nothing but a liar.

He will try and ban guns. Of this, I have no doubt. pelosi is warming up to the idea.

Answer me this. What is it with all the liberals invading gun boards trying to disrupt the place with total bull?

I don't always agree with her but she is spot on here. I do like the way she writes, very humorous and dripping with sarcasm. This one had some good ones, but she could drop the hostility down a notch.
