The answers you see run two ways
use a proper holster, as it's there to PROTECT the gun
and use a modern finish with lube and you should be fine

That said, I've read stories about guys who's sweat literally EATS the bluing off a gun, like they picked up a gun, and in 5 minutes there finger prints were permanently ENGRAVED in the gun. Yikes, that would be an issue.

It is, but it is also too light.

Shadow, had a boss like that. He habitually rested his arm on top of a Wonder Finished EAA Witness, and the streaks of sweat nibbled that finish right off, leaving some odd ball rust marks. Guy was walking acid, must have been part Alien.
