So I picked up yet another AR.. A Bushy plain ole M4A3 Carbine type...

I'd like to set this one up with a longer target type Barrel and scope... I plan to use it mostly for Benchrest shooting 100Yards+ and maybe a bit of Varmint hunting if I can find a few good spots....

What do you guys think of these three Upper/Barrel setup choices?

In no certian order

Bushy

20" Predator Upper Receiver/Barrel Assembly, Part No: PURVMB 20FPRED8 $775.00

24" Varminter Upper Receiver/Barrel Assembly, Part No: PURVMB 24FVAR9 $785.00

Model 1 Sales

On this one, I've got all kinds of Options... I can get it fluted and threaded to add a MuzzelBrake maybe.. :)

Stag Arms
Model 6H $595

I'd like to stay in the 600-700 range for the complete upper/Barrel, but I won't cry over a few bucks here and there... I want to build something thats that shoots good...

What do you guys think???

The bushy will be more accurate, but what are the purpouses and ranges? For a shorter range, the M1S will be fine, but i re3ally don't see any improvement (other than price) for the M1S over the bushy. The Stag is also knowen for good accuracy, i would get that over the M1S.

Few things I want to do with this:

I'd really like to work on my grouping on paper at the 100 yard line or further

Some of the ranges have a rack with like 8-10 round 6" self sealing target flippers, I'd like to improve my speed at nailing those.

A buddy and I hang hang targets out there that have multiple things you have to hit, like one had coins on it and you had to see who could shoot a $1.32 in change 1st (4 Quarters, 3 Dime, 2 Pennies) or one with Billard balls, hes solids, I'm stripes, who could nail all of theirs 1st... One with small faces and a third person will describe them and we have to see who can pick them out and fire, hitting the correct target 1st...

Stuff to make it more chanllenging and fun...

No prob...

Also, I am willing to look at other brands/models too, those listed above were just the 1st few I saw in Shotgun news and

I have a few weeks to research this as I want to pay cash for it and I can't rightly spend that kind of money on myself right before Christmas...

Unless I tell the wifey not to get me anything and I buy my own present...

If you pick the Bushmaster Varminter I don't think you will have any regrets. I bought one years ago and turned it into a space gun and shoot it in high power matches. When you find the right ammo they are very accurate.
