I've seen a lot of polls, all of which have different results.
The trick is to see who conducted the poll. Online don't really count (although it is satisfying to nuke one just to make a point).
But what's really unnerving is polls that say 80% want renewal, but the poll was conducted by a disguised anti group (called the Sahara Foundation, or something neutral like that), and posts no data.
Unless it was conducted by Gallup, Zogby's, or a major news network and volunteers to post the data (which allows people to critique whether or not the questions were biased), I'd disregard it.
And even when the aforementioned "good" pollers post one, critique the results.
Sorry to vent, but I've seen a lot of links here and elsewhere to polls, most of which aren't worth the $.01 of storage space they occupy.
