Another Beretta part question.

That TPU sight looks like it can be just pushed or tapped in and then the screw tightened down, so it should be a DIY job. I doubt you will need a sight pusher, but it may be good to use one to get the old sight out.

As to your question on locking blocks, a couple of years ago, a guy who runs a range and rents out guns showed me a double handful of broken Beretta 92 locking blocks. He said they were all US made, and that the Italian made ones were no problem. AFAIK, the problem has been solved, but I bought an Italian gun. It has been OK, although I have not shot it a lot.

Cool9mm, if you want to see those sights in person, call around your local stores and ask to see the 9mm factory .22LR conversion kit. Mine has the same rear sight on it.

All you're welcome are belong to us. ;)

PS are you hoping to gain performance from the 4.9 barrel or just purely aesthetic?

Skunk:

Oh no, nothing like that at all. My friend just put a shorter barrel like my Vertec's in his Beretta and didn't want it anymore (!). So I think I'll take it to keep as a spare, that's all. I like the way the shorter one looks. It's much cleaner in appearance.
