Strange, but for some reason, your reply is in no way helpful. Please don't take out your indifference towards life on my thread.
Sorry. I wasn't being indifferent; I just disagreed with the choices. Of the guns listed, I'd go with the SIG 239s. :)

I picked both sigs, Just because there both safe to carry in any condition. I don't feel safe putting a colt or a clone of one in my pants hammer back and a loaded chamber. Same with a glock or like trigger action The only needed safety on a handgun is you. Sigs are like a good revolver. They work when you need it.
No safety on them to miss in a hurry, no way to grab wrong and not engage the safety. Nice DA trigger that only goes bang when you want it to.And there is a safe way to put the hammer down when you need that also.:neener:

I have to agree with Isher reagarding his choice of one or two of the CZ's. My personal favorite is a nickel 75B (in .40) with a spare mag, but a RAMI as a BUG would probably also fit my bill. I have owned a few of your choices over the years but shoot the CZ's by far the best.

Are you talking with or without a holster? With a good holster I see absolutely no issue whatsoever. Without a holster I wouldn't carry my sig that way either.

I voted Glock 23 and 1911. Predictable huh?

Skip the 27. It's the same thing as the 23, it hardly conceals better at 3 oclock, and conceals the same at 5-6. Only real advantage was at 4 on me, so I sold it.

Subcompact is not not Glocks strongest area, that's more for Kahrs PM9 IMO.

I'd say the k9 P9 CW9 are more akin to the subcompact glocks than the PM9. I might well carry my Kahr but sadly it is not nearly as reliable as my glock. I have a 19 and a 26. I agree the difference is not huge. Some people in some modes of carry may find the difference to be just enough. To me there is not much difference shooting them either. I probably wouldn't go to the effort to trade one for another but that's just me.

G23 in an open-top pancake under an un-tucked shirt for casual carry; G27 for pocket carry in a desantis nemesis when more concealment is needed, full sized G22 mag in the weak side pocket for either choice. Gotta love those interchangable mags--

I suggested the Glock 23 as a primary: Good compromise of shootability, concealability, and capacity. That and my Gen 4 G19 has been rock solid, as was the Gen 3 G19 prior to that.

I also suggested the H&K P2000 for the customization out of the box (what other gun has buildable SIDE Grip panels?) and the ergonomics. I've also heard good things about them.

Forget the SIGs, WAY overpriced for what you get.

I voted glock 23 and other. The other being the glock 27. Both are great guns, and fun at the range. The glock 23, IMO, has the best all around size and is in the best all around caliber. The glock 27 is its more concealable, lighter little brother. Manual of arms is identical and overall feel (especially if the grip extension is used on the G27) is similar resulting in a familiarity that will encourage a higher level of mastery.

Carrying two full size guns seems excessive to me particularly if you have never carried before. I doubt you could do it successively, success being measured by not being noticed and comfort. A LEO is a different story, he has a different threat level. I don't carry a BUG myself but I'd go with a pocket pistol or an ankle gun if I did. Its a back up.

dcarch, what does that have to do with anything?

These threads are silly enough without people assuming that a .380 will do for someone who wants the fo-tay

And the only correct answer to the OP is still a pair of Springfield EMPs in .40

Maybe a S&W Sig and a Beretta 96. Not the most expensive combo but I like the feel of each.
