Scenario (unfortunately this is certainly plausable): its 2012 and the now overwhelmingly liberal Democratic Congress, accompanied by a liberal Democratic President has passed a new firearms act restricting firearms ownership in the following ways: restricting the number of firearms an individual citizen can own to 4 TOTAL, restricting the amount of ammunition a person can posses to 100 rounds per firearm (ammunition sales must be registered/reported), outlawing ALL internet ammunition sales/purchases, outlawing all internet gun sales/purchases, gun-show loophole closed, all sales of reloading equipment illegal to anyone who does not have reloading license, present owners of reloading equipment must register for license, firearms training must be completed before purchasing firearm. In addition the new gun restricion law will outlaw civilian ownership/possesion of any firearm that does not meet the following criteria:
1) firearm must be manually cocked before firing each round
2) firearm cannot have detachable magazine
3) firearm cannot have supressor/muzzle brake installed, or threaded barrel to accomidate one
4) longarm cannot have pistol grip
5) longarm cannot have barrel shorter than 16"
6) longarm cannot have collapsable, or folding buttstock
7) handgun ammunition capacity limited to 7 rounds(as noted in #2:detatchable magazine illegal)
8) all "military style" accesories such as non-magnified "red-dot" sights, lazer, or any mounted light outlawed
9) firearm must not have more than one barrel (as to make clear the 100rds. per firearm rule)

What four guns would you purchase, or keep if you already owned them?
I'd go with these 4:
Rifle- Marlin Lever .44 Magnum
Pistol- (2) Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum
Shotgun- Rem. 870

Sad, I know, but it Could happen.:(
