Another polymer mag on the market soon...

I think it would be useful for the range. I often forget how many rounds I've shot when doing slow fire and have mags loaded with over 10-15 rounds. In an actual 'battle' situation I doubt it would be of any use.

So, wait. Does this give an actual roundcount (the one in the pic says "29") or just switch colors per ten rounds expended?

The CountDown magazine has a visual color coded indicator showing the exact number of rounds left in the magazine. 30-21 rounds have a GREEN background, 20-11 rounds have a YELLOW background, and 10-1 rounds have a RED background.

So you'll know that you have EXACTLY 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, or 30 rounds?

That's pretty cool. I don't know how useful it is going to be...I can understand at the range, but don't AR-15s have a last shot hold open?

I guess if your shooting at someone, and you get sidetracked and your not currently shooting it could be a good thing. It's probably not all that handy, though.

A magazine that screams bloody murder after you shoot your last couple bullets would be cool.

Kind of Blued, that's what I was thinking. Someone doesn't know the difference between "exact" and an approximation.

Ok, on the photo of the mag laying down. Why does the indicator on the heel of the mag say 29 and the one on the floorplate say 24?

If they feed ok, I can see them selling a mess of these.

I wouldn't bet too much money on a CAA mag being reliable. And $25 is too much money, for any AR mag.

I figure that if I'm worried about the amount of ammo in my rifle after doing some shooting, and I have enough time to look down at some kind of indicator thingy, I have enough time to stick a fresh mag that I know is full in there.

That seems like a good idea. I would like to see a round count on a optic lens. It would be cool to see how many rounds you have while looking through an Eotech for example.
