I recently got a box of 500 once fired 223 Remington cases. About 8 to 9 percent had crushed mouths making them unusable for 223 Remington.

But, I was able to salvage them by cutting off the necks and forming them into 300 BLK cases so net loss was only about one percent (5 cases).

Life is good..:)

Life gives you lemons and you make awesome lemonaide with them!

I love happy endings. :D

Can't wait to start making 300 BLK cases out of 223 cases.

Ive got a 300 blk...haven't ventured down the reforming brass road yet. I can buy 147 gr from Freedom munitions locally and then just keep the brass when fired. But I have quite a bit of 223 brass I could mess with.

Forming 300 BLK cases is easy and not very time consuming. Rigging up some way to quickly cut off the necks of 223 Rem cases is the key. Several videos on U-tube and at least one fellow has made a jig for sale that holds the case.

If 300 BLK supply ever catches up with demand and when the shortages will end, the need to make 300 BLK will be lessened. But, it is nice to have the capability on hand.

My Blackout is sitting idle in the safe patiently waiting on the NFA stamp to arrive (2 months in so far) so I can install the AAC Cyclone suppressor sitting at the FFL's shop....:(

Me too. Have AA 1680 powder, 600 + cases and a bunch of 220 gr Sierra Matchkings to make some subsonic rounds with. Just need the can so I can work up one that cycles and performs.....
