I drove the family today to West Texas, to visit my Mother in Law for Christmas. As soon as we got to her place, we then drove another 15 miles to another small town where the Pizza Hut is located (livin' large, amigo's, livin large! ).
Once we finished eating, our three kids, plus my Brother in Laws' three kids, went into another room that had video games and those cheap $.25 toy dispensers. After about 15 minutes, the kids one by one are coming back, and begin to hand me a toy that's one of those clear plastic "eggs" that you need to crack apart. "Here Dad, open this..." I did three of those and didn't even look at them. Finally, my wife and sister in law started laughing, and pointed to the necklace my 9 year old daughter was wearing: it had what looked like a .380 round attached to a braided necklace. It was perfect, with polished silver casing and a copper colored bullet.
My 7 year old son and his 8 year old cousin each had a key chain with little pistols dangling from them. One was an easily identifiable 9mm Beretta, and the other what appeared to be a CZ 75! Perfect detail...awesome!
All I could think was "This is the kind of menacing item the geniuses at the TSA would use to keep you off your flight." What the heck, it's Christmas, and I'm not flying, so who cares. Merry Christmas to you all! geegee
