In a similar light as ArmedBear's post...
I've got a S&W 686+ (6.5" barrel) that I occasionally like to take as a backup when deer hunting. I have tried using a cross-draw holster and don't care for it. Additionally, I'm typically deer hunting in very cold conditions and I can't let the gun be covered by my hunting coat.
What I've wanted is a drop-leg holster, but designed for a revolver. The problem seems to be that all the drop-leg stuff is either designed for the tactical crowd (for use with autos) or 50's-era TV-style SASS rigs.
Does anyone know of a drop-leg rig that might work with the gun mentioned above? Are there any compelling reasons why this isn't a more commonly used setup?
