Been milling over my next purchase... keep going back and forth and back and forth...
it is for carry... 9mm only... to supplement my makarov... something larger framed and of an accepted american caliber so the cool kids don't laugh at me when they find out what I'm carrying...
I love my Sig P228 and it's just plain smooth... like buddah... but I love it too much to subject it to the daily tortures of carrying it... so it's getting retired... and possibly refinished...
but I've got the new gun itch and have had it fir quite awhile... been eyeing a few possibilities...
First, a BHP... classic, thin lines, good capacity, lots of customizing options down the road, just heavy and large framed for a skinny guy...
Second, CZ P01, Alloy framed, reliable, the tacticool integral rail for the ole M3 so it could double as a bump in the night, house gun I guess, nice price, only drawback to me is the damn decock only feature, where's C&L? Hmmmmmm CZ?
Third, Just buy another 228 and do an action job like my current 228...I'd have the controls down... and I do love my 228 so... but the odds of getting another German produced model are slim IMO...but I get borderline emotional about the design... My current 228 is as close to perfection in an SA/DA 9mm as I have ever found...
or maybe even go with a 225, I hear that it has the same great ergonomics and pointability of the 228, a bit more classic and perhaps classy than the 228, and apparantly a must have if you are a Sig 9mm fan...
then there's the SigPro 2009, it's plastic, so no reall corrosion issues, it's got that soulless, workhorse thing happening for it like Glocks... I wouldn't be afraid to drop it or ding it or have it sit in a locker for months and months... but it's just sort of emotionless to me...
Or I suppose I could think about the G36, I do love .45, and it's from a workhorse line...
or maybe even a Para Ordnance P13.45, since I still kick myself for selling one way back when... or downsize it to P12.45 country...
I'm all over the map here and I really am torn.... and unfortunately I can't afford more than one of the choices...
