1 Week, 3 pistol purchases...someone stop me.

For some reason this week has been especially kind to my firearm collection.

A guy at a range wanted to buy some body armor from me. I sold it and then see a guy selling a Sig 228. I bought it in almost LN condition with the exception of some light surface rust. I immediatly rushed it to the local ER, or gunsmith in this condition, who got it all off. The gun looks almost new now.

THEN I see that CDNN is selling Sig 228's for $400.00 and I called to find out what they have. A guy named Neil was very cool and patient explaining what they have a LNIB blued 228 for around $400.00. Now being that these guns are the size of my beloved 229, but weigh about as much as a 239....I couldn't pass it up. I bought it and had them ship it to my FFL, same guy as my smith.

So then this other guy named Dave wanted my Glock 17 for an Excellent PCR +$75.00.

I got all three within 2 days of each other, since the delay to the one being smithed. I spent Sunday lovingly oiling and cleaning them up...didn't get to shoot any but will rectify that this weekend.

So now I have only 1 Glock 17, which is okay, the gun is a workhorse...and probably will start to lose carry time to the 228, 229 and PCR. Now I just need to get another PCR to double up.

Besides, have you guys noticed that once you learn to shoot a Glock, you have to relearn with every other pistol out there? Since I have to carry Sigs at work, I think I should stick with one grip angle and leave it at that. The Glock will be more or less my night gun due to the rails.

1 PCR and 1 Glock 17

My to buy list?

1 additional PCR and a couple of Sig 226's...one in 9mm one in .40.

Best I ever did was two in one day, but it was a Springfield TGO1 and a Springfield Professional.

I got a FN Hi Power and a Kimber Aluminum Compact last week. One of those 228s is on my list but may have to wait as the Kimber purchase was rather unexpected.
