The Winchester M1 Garand Contract W-852-ORD-4622 received another Supplement number 11 for more M1 Garands to be built by Winchester.
What was the number of M1 Garands ordered by this Supplement 11 ?
Hint: First shipment was on 12/4/42 received 241 M1 Rifles.

My Guess, Redux

Hi Clancy,

Although this had a low initial delivery in that December of '42, I'm guessing the target rate was between 5,000 and 6,000 rifles per month. If it was 5,000 rifles per month, that'd be an annual rate of 60,000 rifles.

Hence my guess for Supplement 11 is 60K M1s. How did I do?

This Supplement called for the production of 96,213 M1 Winchester Garands.
On 8/6/43 the order was completed.
