In Hellinois there's basically no CCW. In chitcago there's a handgun ban, yet the aldermen can not only possess a handgun they can carry also.

Freaking politicians think no one should have the right than them. What a bunch of sleaze balls! I mean its crazy; I am surprised too in places like California you can open carry as long as its unloaded.:uhoh:

This should be a lesson to some of the folks who think if you shoot an intruder or even someone who threatens you, you will just explain to the cops and there will be no problem. But here is an elderly state senator who wounded (not killed) an intruder and has been indicted for a criminal offense. No one seems to doubt that it was self defense, but he still will have to stand trial and pay huge lawyers' fees.

So take note, you "just shoot him and walk away whistling" guys. Any time you shoot or kill someone, you are liable to getting your fanny in a deep crack. Just telling the cops it was self defense won't work.

Jim
But not for cops, in case they have to shoot someone in self-defense it's just a paid vacation, welcome to Amerika....

Yeah! Cops got it made, they can shoot people all day long & have all the fun, then it's off to paid vacation time- Sweet!:barf:

What happens though if a thug breaks and you drop him? What, do you call 911 but say nothing? If you've predetermined to never let a gov. anybody in without a warrant, what's a man to do?

if a thug...: "Hi, I need the police and an ambulance. I had to shoot an intruder/attacker because he (attempted to) attack/rob/rape/kill me."

if a government agent...: "Hi, I need the police and an ambulance. I had to shoot an intruder/attacker because he (attempted to) attack/rob/rape/kill me."

Don't say anything stupid or revealing regardless. Saying more than that will help the police fill in the blanks on what they don't know but need to prove and use it against you.

but on a sidenote: if you do shoot a federal agent or police officer who is acting in the line of duty, you better hope that they had the wrong house and weren't there for you. The whole "sure I was growing weed but didn't know it was the police at my door" story doesn't fly, as seen in Frederick v. Chesapeake that was resolved early last year.

If he is so anti gun then what is he doing with one of those evil things?...
Could it be he was one of those anti-gunners who posted a sign on his front lawn saying, "We are po-gun control and have therefore no guns on the premises", but in reality he was just lying about the disarmament?

This is almost as bad a Hillery telling her driver to procede when a New York air port security guard tried to stop limo for security check, injuring security guard but not getting that much attention. Supposedly her security guards were armed with subguns.

You apparently haven't heard of, or viewed the recent anti-2nd California cops facebook statements about shooting legally armed citizens and getting himeself some paid vacation, I'm sure you'd have an explanation ready & waiting for him though, wouldn't you?
