I would like to see this one at every entrance into Florida :).

No offence to any Florida folks here, but I've never had a desire to visit your state before now. Now that I've seen that great welcoming sign, I'd kind of like to go there. And besides that, I'm a little envious - I wish Idaho had a few of those signs at our borders.:D

Visitor Warning: Florida Residents can use Deadly Force. So, if you are some POS who's thinking about coming down here and rob, rape or pillage, you might want to head north instead; you might prefer some place where the local officials who are protected by armed bodyguards have deprived their fellow Americans of their Constitutional right to defend themselves. :)

I lived in Florida between ages 10 and 16 and have made regular trips back in the four-plus decades since leaving. It's a nice place to visit and there are a lot worse places to live.

the NRA should put a sign up on the edge of south chicago that says "Don't worry, visitors! Chicago residents cannot use deadly force. No one can get shot here."

Classic and should be written in granite.

Absolutely love Florida, Went to Torpedoman 'A' School there in 1977 and I said it then and I say it now If you cannot have fun in Florida you can't have fun anywhere.

Another comment that should be written in granite.

Making me more proud to have been raised here. Too bad I live too far from any of the "entrances" to see such signs.

I wonder how many of the other 40+ states that affirm their citizens' rights to lawful self-defense they are making signs for.

Perhaps the Brady Campaign is finally applying a bit of common sense to their efforts. They CLAIM that they want to help prevent people from getting hurt with guns, right? What better way than to remind everyone, including the criminal element of society (most of them can read, can't they), that they are entering a "space" where they can be held accountable for their most extreme lawless actions in the most extreme and immediate way?

Way back in the day when concealed carry was being debated in one state, a caller into a radio show stated that she thought legalizing it would be a bad idea because then "cops wouldn't know who was carrying a gun".

I think the same sort of mental acuity behind that statement was also behind the creation of that Brady banner.
