INDIANA: Anti-gun reporter exposed for having a concealed weapons permit!

"Most disturbingly, the increase in carry guns is further evidence that efforts to slow America's rush to become an armed society have largely failed. ... Common sense suggests that the more guns on the street, the more wrongful injuries and death." --Tracy Warner (Ft. Wayne, Indiana Journal Gazette; "Up in arms: Ohio joins states allowing concealed handguns"; Sunday, March 14, 2004.)
The very next day, in an article called "Licensed to carry", Indiana's competing Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel exposed Warner as someone who has a concealed weapons permit -- proving once against that many anti-gunners in positions of power are actually just hypocritical elitists of the "good for thee but not for me" variety:
"* Tracy Warner, editor of The Journal-Gazette's editorial page, which has traditionally supported calls for tighter controls on guns and opposed making it easier to carry the weapons."
[Click here to see it for yourself.]
Then here's the real kicker: Warner came out and tried to explain his hypocrisy: "Why I have a gun permit". In this hilarious rant, the little phony "reporter" says, among other things:
"Having the permit, I knew, would give me the option of carrying a gun should I decide it was necessary."
That's what the rest of us have been saying for years.
Helloooo?
Tracy Warner can be reached at [email protected]

Helloooo?
Indeed!!!

Well - the ol' friend again ''double standards'' .... ''don't do what I do - do as I say''.

I do wish again and again .. ''they'' would learn to differentiate between ''law abiding'' and ''criminal'' ... seems to be perpetually blurred (conveniently).

As they always say, "I have to defend myself from right wing nuts who disgree with my left wing opinions." :barf: :barf:

The hypocrisy is wonderful! The New York Times has long editorialized against guns - sometimes clearly labeled as editorials, other times disguised as "news." And then the truth came out: its former publisher, Arthur Ochs "Punch" Sulzberger, had a permit to carry a handgun.

Remember when nationally syndicated columnist Carl Rowan had to explain why he found it necessary to shoot an intruder who was in the process of leaving his property in 1988? The handgun was not registered as was required in the District of Corruption. An anti-gun liberal with an illegal firearm. Rowan never saw the inside of a courtroom.

When I talk with people who are undecided or who lean against guns, I find it very persuasive to raise the hypocrisy issue.

Is this one of the guys who wanted to publish CCW holders' names in the paper? This is priceless... You guys in his town should take a collection... rent billboards, with this in BIG letters...

Dear Sir,
Just thought you might like to know Websters defines elitism as;
e·lit·ism or é·lit·ism (-ltzm, -l-)
n.
The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.

The sense of entitlement enjoyed by such a group or class.
Control, rule, or domination by such a group or class.

Maybe you could send them a picture so we could be absolutely sure we knew it when we saw it.
Regards,
General.
