Have you ever seen leathel wep 4?
did you see all the anti NRA posters. like in the offices.
I used to love that series. now i put my DVD's in the clay launcher.
What is that about. Here they shoot everything that moves but the makers are ANTI's.
Anyone else see these signs in the movie?

Richard Donner, the director of all four Lethal Weapon movies is a big-time activist Liberal. He's anti-gun (hence the anti-NRA posters in 4), anti-fur (there are anti-fur stickers and posters in one of the other movies) and anti-other things. If you look carefully in all four movies, you can find anti- stuff somewhere in there.

Despite being anti-gun, he seems to have no problem making movies where the heroes use guns and violence to defeat the bad guys. Hippocritical, in my opinion.

The Lethal Weapon Movies Are Hymns to Gun Control

Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) was probably the most effective bit of gun bigot propaganda of all time, and it's still largely unrecognized for that fact.

I have no doubt it was a significant contributor to the passage of the 1994 AWB

I mean, come on...the main plot is about gang bangers with converted full autos spewing "cop killer" bullets.

The movie was very popular, reinforced the impression that the streets were crawling with heavily armed punks, reality aside.

The young, spunky Riggs wanna be red shirt cop dies despite wearing armor, after about 2 minutes of screen time.

At one point, giant crates containing thousands of confiscated converted full autos is being stolen by the bad guy gun runnners. This implies that police evidence lockers are over flowing with such items, and those are only the ones they've been able to lay hold of.

It was gun bigot propaganda through and through, and it worked BEAUTIFULLY.

Geek, I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the severe anti-gun bigotry spewed forth from Lethal Weapon 3. I wanted to puke when I saw the part of the funeral, and the gangbanger's Dad says, "Find the man that put a gun in my kid's hand." :cuss: :fire: :banghead:

After all, he was an innocent kid. He wasn't making his own choices, he was just overcome by the mind-controlling evil that emanates from firearms.

:fire:

What amazes me most is that people don't recognize such PROPAGANDA!!!

thatnks for reminding me about that guys
next time im cruising for a good movie DVD, ill remember not to pick out either of those
it IS hypocritical to make the heroes gunslingers in every sense of the word and opposse citizen ownership of guns
"look kids, do as i say not as i do"

Dialog from Lethal Weapon 4:

Roger Murtaugh: What the hell? Who's this joker?
Martin Riggs: I don't know, spokesman for the NRA, maybe.
Roger Murtaugh: What do we do?
Martin Riggs: Run him over.
Roger Murtaugh: What if he turns around and shoots us with that assault rifle?

"I mean, come on...the main plot is about gang bangers with converted full autos spewing "cop killer" bullets."

Wasn't that the movie where the villians were shooting through the bucket on a front end loader with "cop killer bullets" in 9mm out of a MAC ?

Yup, that was the one.

IIRC, the "kop killers" where 9mm cases loaded with these wierd purple sharply pointy things that would pretty much refuse to feed in any gun you care to name.

But of course they had to be pointy. They were AP.

I seem to recall that the now-banned KTW rounds had a similar bullet shape, only they sported a fashionable apple green.

Re: Lethal Weapon...on the bright side, that series did more to sell Beretta 92s than any sales literature ever coming out of Accokeek.

Thanks for the clip Chevo. Isn't it great how the idiot talks about how, when police officers told him he was an idiot for putting up the anti-NRA posters, he calls them "rogue cops"?

Saw that 90 minute HCI commercial, threw it out. Now, Gibson is supposedly a semi-pro-gun person, or is that wrong? I know Danny Glover is heavily Anti.

Didd'nt Danny glover make some really bad Anti war staments?
I mean it his his right to speak his mind, but I think he went way over the top. If memory serves.
I just don't know what he said. Does anyone know?

Also Mel went a little bit nuts on us. What a wack job that guy is now.
