The Texas Motorist Protectin says the handgun must be concealed.

Put a riot gun in a scabbard and you're good to go in Texas.

The thing that nags me about the very nice saddle seat is that the rider, at some time, has to separate from the motorcycle. Does he take the revolver with him? Does he lock it up somewhere? Or is that set up just for show? I think it is the latter.

I nearly always carry when I ride, but the weapon is concealed and always under my immediate control.

One question...how do you reach it? You need your throttle hand so it makes more sense to have the weapon on the left.
While riding, I wear a left handed crossdraw rig.

Wow, though I would never mount a gun ON the bike that is a beautiful saddle. (and bike)

Do you carry your long guns in your lap while riding your scoot? I'd rather mount mine.

Looks like it slips off, and can be put on a cartridge belt, or possibly like a paddle holster when off the bike.

I like it. I own bikes, and this is a great show piece. It does have practicality as well. Of course nothing is perfect.

This is a local bike and it has really gotten around on the internet. The owner works at the local HD dealer here. I don't care much for modern choppers or theme bikes but this one is nicely done. Here are some more photos of it taken about 3 weeks ago during the bike rally. Notice the shotguns on the down tubes. The revolvers look real but were said to be replicas.

Nice update

...

Thank you GG for these added pics.. Really brings it home now.

And, so much for the right side/throttle controversy as, the owner clearly makes a another great statement:

~ I've got 2 guns - one for each of ya ~

Not my preferred style of motorcycle, but that's a nice custom. I especially like the leather work. I've always felt that your gun should coordinate with your bike:

I think the bike in the original post is a neat idea. I don't have the kind of cash that would allow me to own a bike with so little utility, but that one definitely has the right attitude. :)

Back to the OP, it looks like a show bike or a bar-hopper, nice but not My thing....WVleo

Harley Rider 55, sorry I didn't specify I meant I would never mount a "sidearm" on a bike. I used to until one day I desperately needed it and I mean immediately (while stopped at a light - a road rage incident), and learned that it needs to be on your person. It's always on my person now. And now that I see that this is a "show bike" it all makes perfect sense. Beautiful machine. Don't think I would leave it parked anywhere for more than 15 seconds though. Deleted -- <Sam>

Note to all: If I've deleted your post or part of your post, take it as a warning. Our focus here is responsible gun ownership. Drifting the conversation to what other lifestyles you like or hate is completely inappropriate for The High Road. BTW

Rexster and Harley are absolutely correct. Open carry of a handgun in the public under any conditions is not allowed in Texas

I don't want to hijack but just make sure that everyone is clear on that.

What the well-dressed cycle rider wears these days, apparently -- and great stuff. Thanks for sharing these photos. I can throw away my contact lenses a final time because I've absolutely seen everything now. :)
