I have a friend and shooting pal (and member here Joel) who has been making very VERY nice leather holsters as a business for a while now. He has done some cool things for me in standard cow and horse hide, and some VERY nice things in exotics for some others, including BullfrogKen.
Here's an IWB he made me that is like an improved version of a VersaMax but tuck-able.
If possible, this holster is MORE comfortable than the DeSantis OWB I usually carry in. I really like it.
I am a custom kydex holster and gear maker. I do not have a website, however I do have a facebook fan page. It is under "Ludus Magnus Holsters". I have done business with a couple folks here on THR, but most of my business is done on facebook, or by word of mouth in which case they call me or email me.
Rambic,
Sam gave me a heads-up about this thread. I am a custom holster maker in central PA. I do not have a 'static' line of any sort as all holsters are made one-at-a-time to the client's specs. If you are interested in exotics, I just got a fresh supply of shark and alligator and have a small supply of black and earthtone elephant and ostrich. Prices on the site Sam linked to are current. The same can be found at www.jrcustomleather.com.
Not myself, however I have had excellent results from Robert Mika Pocket Holsters. His holsters STAY in the pocket where I had an Uncle Mikes Pocket Holster come out on the gun when drawing from my pocket -- NOT a good thing!
I also have some really great leather work made by C5 Leather (IWB, heavy, thick belt and magazine carriers)!
C5 - aka - "Big Jim" - will do custom work and will do what is necessary to keep the customer happy! The IWB and magazine carrier rigs and belt he made me are, without a doubt, the best leather I have ever owned! C5 Leather is in Kansas City, Kansas.
