The header says it.
Does anyone have any documentation, photographic is best, on any of the C&B revolvers which have had a front sight blade made from a penny or coin?

Beartracker, who posted here regularly until April of this year, had an 1858 dime for the front sight on his 1858 Remington. I seem to recall him posting a picture of it either here or on The Firing Line, where he went by Remington Kid.

I used a Lincoln penny for a front sight on one of my Gunslinger Model Euroarms '58 Rem. Just used it for one match and then sawed up a W.H. (actually a Carwash) token to make a front sight. :what:  :what:

It is the top Gunslinger

My front site is dovetailed so I had to drill a hole in the base cope the token to suit then Silver Soldered it together in a vise then filed the locator tpi off flush with the bottom of the base. Worked pretty well. I contoured the sight so a not to hang up in a holster. Make sure the pistol fits inside the holster and not sticking through, or these tall front sight will hang and one couls shoot your foot off if you load all six. LOL

You got it right, that all came about when someone gold plated an old V Nickel and sold them as &%.00 gold pieces. For sure check it out.
One may cut up a coin to use as they see fit except to use it in commerce as money. Otherwise those coin earrings and such jewelry makers would be in the POKEY!

I once cut a Canadian Silver dollar up to make the Voyager and canoe on the back side into a pin for my Voyager's long wool cap. Had a Canadien tell me I could go to jail in Canada for that. But he'd get me out if it took 15 years....LOL
