I've seen these around, and they aren't beautiful, but they are very reasonable, and made in the USA too. Any comments?

Can't give you a link but - IIRC we had some discussion on this on another thread ... maybe try a search for ''Heritage''.

My own opinion tho is ..... these are relatively poorly finished guns (fit mostly) with questionable metallurgical quality. The .22 plinkers will probably do fine if used economically. However - most 22 plinkers get hammered ... like, 1,000's of rounds!. I doubt a Heritage will take punishment like that without getting sloppy.

For some more $$$'s a Ruger Single Six is a much better consideration ... tough, last forever and ... new one throws in the .22WMR cylinder.

Somewhat depends what you want - and expect.

For the $125 mine cost, it was worth it. Nowhere near as accurate as my Ruger MKII, but I wouldnt really expect it to be. The aluminum frames suck, go steel. Wishing now that I had.

With the .22 magnum cylinder and a slight hold over, at 100 yards its really not hard to put all 6 rounds on a paper plate.

These are one of the best guns you can get to teach a newbie how to shoot with. They have a safety of sorts too.
