or, why do the pachmyer's on my revo fit so poorly?
I picked up a used 686 no dash. It has pachmyer grips on it that fit great everywhere but at the top of the grip. If you look down on the top of the pistol there is a huge gap between the grip and the top of the grip portion of the frame.
I know plastic grips aren't custom fit but I can stick my whole finger tip in the gap. I would have thought they were grips for the incorrect model but they fit everywhere else perfectly. They actually feel pretty good, just ugly.
I will most likely replace them soon anyway, I just want to make sure if I buy "686" grips I am not buying grips for 686-4 and later or something.
