Gone ape **** after purchasing your first handgun and bought about a dozen holsters and all kinds of different grips thinking you'd need 'em, and when you finally came to your senses you thought to yourself "What in the world was I thinking? That holster is garbage! And so is that one, and that one, and those grips really suck, and... oh heck, I'll just store 'em for....." And there they sit collecting dust.

I bought a Bianchi shoulder rig, a DeSantis pancake, a Fobus paddle, and not a one of them is worth a plugged nickle. Well, actually the DeSantis is a pretty good OWB for concealment. But what in God's name was I thinking when I purchased that Fobus off of Ebay for $30, and thought I was going to have a good CCW rig! And then I bought Hogue wrap arounds with the finger notches, and some smooth Cocobolos.

Footnote - I have a Brommelandgunleather holster Max Con V, on its way for my 1911. Let's hope this ends my saga of holster purchases! :p

Just thought I'd share my newbie experiences with you guys.

Better buy a BIG box and write "holsters and accessories" on it right now! :)

We all have one somewhere. Welcome to the addiction! :)

Yep !
Got a drawer full of what I call junk. But like any good pack rat , I think I'll use them some day . I wonder if Goodwill can use some holsters ?

I had that passing thought. It was fleeting . What I have is no name junk.
I would not sell this stuff to friends or brothers. I know , one mans junk ....

I finally came around to Sparks VM2 . I own four of them....make that three.I just sold one.

Keep it in the box, maybe somebody will trade you something for it...trading holsters is almost a hobby of mine. I most recently traded, on this forum, but to a guy here in town, a Rosen workman for some Don Hume stuff. Rosen is expensive, I know, but it just did not work for me; so, I traded. You never can tell what someone will trade for ;)

Yeah, that wait between purchase & pick up, usually has me buying accessories I never end up needing/using. That 'ebay' idea sounds pretty good as well a going back & maybe getting a refund or store credit ;)

I bought them, but slowly over time. My acquisitions take forever since I'm on limited funds and do my homework slooowwllyyy just to be sure....

But yeah I've had an average of two holsters per gun.

That's just daft. Why wouldn't you run out and buy every aftermarket bells and whistles and accessories etc, etc. Are you suggesting we don't do this for every new toy, not just the first one. Are you trying to wreck the ecomony or just deprive us of our fun? Especially as I'm in Canada and there's no such thing as carry of any kind. Still have shoulder holsters, etc. Does that make me odd? Snicker.

I had a huge box of holsters some of them 5 bucks some $75 and some were freebies.

I was trying to figure out my first concealed carry method.

Before I knew it there was a duffle bag full taking up a bunch of room.

I put them all up on Ebay and made over $750 probably close to 2X what I paid for them.

Took the money and bought a new SAR1 and a Master piece arms .45acp mac 10 copy.
