I'm looking for a good modern (Kick-eeze, Limbsaver or equivalent) recoil pad for my model 14.

I've already discovered that the KZ-110 (fitls 'most' Savage rifles) is not even close and doesn't apear to match their published template.

Thought I'd try the KZ-115 next....

But thought I'd ask if any one out there had found one that fits well and doesn't require sanding the stock or grinding the pad to fit.

I guess I got lucky with my Marlin 336, as the Limbsaver pad I put on it fits perfectly.

Get one that atleast is larger than your stock. Mount it and then go to a shoe repair shop and have them sand abd polish the edges, You can mark it with a sratch awle and work to that line or tape the stock and work to that. I have had several don't that way.
