I saw a new Ruger 77 International in stainless on gun broker the other day and thought about it.
When I was hunting in Germany in the 80's I used a 243 for the small roe deer, then I started hunting with a forest meister that said I could shoot any Boar I saw. You needed a 6.5 mm or bigger for boar in Germany so I bought a military swede and sporterized it. Killed a few hogs with it and sold it before I left; I wish I had kept that gun.
