I'm on the verge of getting an Armalite Carbine. I also like the same thing is a RRA, but I'm drawn to the Armalite for some reason. The search function has mostly positive comments, but some negative and I've had some "experiences" with RRA customer service. The shop dudes give Armalite a big thumbs up and they carry both. Any input from those who know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well i have a fairly limited dealing with armalites. my one buddy bought one a few months ago. currently he is having a truly unusual problem. after taking the first shot of a magazine, the actions does not fully cycle, partly loading the next round but stopping. personally im not the biggest fan of them but they do their ups. reliable, accurate, many many many spare parts out there, and not demonized like the ak is (at least around here.)

I've had an Armalite 20" flat top for 5 years. GREAT rifle, lifetime warranty for original purchaser.

The line I always hear from the AR guys, is "know your ABCs: Armalite, Bushmaster, and Colt".

To be fair, I think you need to expand upon that a bit, nowadays, but the Armalite produced rifle is definitely well made.

Rock River just got a 5,000 rifle contract for the FBI and DEA beating out all the other manufacturers.

That ought to tell you something.

Go Armalite... I have an RRA receiver on my AR15 and bushmaster everything else (including receiver parts) because I waited about 4 months for RRA to send me my parts and gave up and cancelled my order.
