Anyone with experience with this gun/caliber.
I picked up a new to me 5" SW 460 Mag. It is supposed to have 2 compensator one for jacketed one for lead. I only have the jacketed one. The seller is going to send be the other when he finds it.
As I am not set up for 460 Mag yet, but i can shoot 45 Colt and load those I am wondering about the new Hi Tech coated bullets. I have those for the 45 Colt.
Can I use them with this "jacketed" compensator? And will these bullets hold up to Ruger 45 Colt loads and the higher faster 460 Mag loads??.
The difference in the compensator is the shape of the holes. I do not know enough about them to see how it makes a big difference. They are removable for cleaning.
If the coated bullets do not lead, then I am thinking the jacketed compensator should be OK. But could be wrong. What is going to happen, the holes get leaded up maybe?? I certainly will not shoot it a lot until I get some 460 dies and the other compensator.
Thanks
