Any "Touch-Up" Materials For Parkerized Finish?

Are there any good 'touch-up' materials or solutions available to repair/touch-up a greenish-gray parkerized metal finish? It is for an M1 Carbine barrel---it has a Type 2 barrel band on it. There is a tendency for the band to 'wear' at the parkerized surface of the barrel when the band is moved forward so as to effectuate dissasembly, etc. This is not so aparent with Type 3 Carbine bands----the ones with the bayonet lug---as the shroud holding the lug covers this area of the barrel.

I have heard some recommend the use of Brownell's Oxpho-
Blue, however, use of that results in a gray-bluish effect----and the barrel is more of a gray-greenish color.

A lot depends on the actual color of the parkerizing. Black park can be repaired somewhat with cold blue.

The true gray and gray-green just can't be touched up in an acceptable manner. All cold blues produce colors from streaky gray to somewhat blue. They really don't match blued finishes that well, much less the flat parkerizing finish.

I have excellent success with birchwood casey super blue on a sandblasted surface for smaller parts of an M-1 or m-14 such as the gas cylinders and flashiders. Yes it works on stainless. I know it ain't sopposed to but it does. Super blue not the other one perma blue. It ain't worth 2 cents. Surface prep is key. It must be clean and I found sandblasted finish gives results closest to a dark gray to black parkerizing finish. I am about to do one of my fals and a m14 with gunkote. I always liked the looks of olive drab and plan to do that one as a base coat and add some desert tan and flat black in for a woodland camo pattern. I hope it works out good. You may want to consider doing this to yours. They have a color that closely resembles parkerizing. It is sopposedly easy to touch up if needed.
